Krishna Trayodashi is the 13th lunar day (Tithi) of Krishna Paksha, the dark half of the lunar month. Its epithet is Jaya Prada, "brings victory", and its tutelary lord (Adhidevta) is Kamdeva (lord of sex).
Counted paksha by paksha, Krishna Trayodashi is ruled by Sun. It belongs to the Nandaadi group of Jaya Tithis, ruled by Mars, and in Krishna Paksha it is called Lakshmivati. By eye status Krishna Trayodashi is a blind Tithi.
Krishna Trayodashi is a Galagraha Tithi. Krishna Trayodashi becomes a Dagdha Tithi when the Sun is in Sagittarius.
