About Navarathri

Navarathri is the nine-night festival celebrated in Kerala during the month of Kumbham (February-March), dedicated to the worship of the Divine Mother in her three forms: Durga, Lakshmi, and Saraswati.

The festival is marked by traditional dance performances like Theyyam, Thidambu Nritham, and other ritual art forms at Devi temples across Kerala.

Women observe fasting and perform special prayers, while cultural programmes and traditional performances are held throughout the nine days.
