About Thai Pooyam
Thai Pooyam is celebrated on the full moon day in the month of Makaram (January-February) and is dedicated to Lord Murugan (Subramanya).

In Kerala, special pujas are performed at Murugan temples, and devotees offer prayers for the destruction of evil and the removal of obstacles.
